Nobody likes to think about having to deal with sewer issues, unfortunately it is common and necessary! Luckily for our customers, our team makes sewer work hassle-free from start to finish. We are throroughly experienced in all facets of sewer service including:

  • Repair, maintenance and replacement of sump and sewer pumps
  • Water line identification for property developments
  • Drainage work
  • Sewer connections – We take care of sewer connections from the excavation of lines, to the pipe connections, to the permits and inspection.
  • Root removal
Tree root intrusion into sewer lines is an amazingly common problem. In fact, we wrote an article about tree root intrusion back in October on our blog. Tree roots naturally seek out the best source of moisture and are attracted to the limitless supply of wastewater found in sewer lines. You may have noticed slow drainage in your home and/or a ‘gurgling’ sound in your pipes, which when combined with a property that has one large or several small trees on it (that are close to your plumbing piping) can mean root-clogged pipe(s). Should this be the case then you need to contact a professional immediately! We use special camera technology which allows us to identify exactly where the problem is in the sewer line. This precision allows us to dig with the least amount of disruption to the yard and landscaping as possible.

We wanted to share some photos from a recent job. This sequence shows a sewer repair from an 8 foot root intrusion at a home in the Dilworth Mountain area in Kelowna. Our team was able to efficiently and successfully remove the problem and restore the homeowners sewer back to working order.

If you fear you may have or are in danger of developing problems with roots in your sewer lines, contact A1 Choice Plumbing & Drain for an inspection today!
