Everyone hates a clogged drain, and chances are we’ve all had to deal with one. You want that drain unclogged as soon as possible and to know that everything has been done to prevent it from happening in the future. At A1 Choice Plumbing & Drain we utilize a variety of tools and procedures to fix all of your plumbing problems so you can get on with your day worry-free. One such procedure we use with great results is video camera inspection, where we use our state of the art camera equipment and extensive up-to-date knowledge to visually identify what is clogging your household pipes or sewer line and discover how best to remove it quickly and effectively. Using this procedure we can also make informed recommendations regarding the care of the pipe or line in order to avoid recurring problems.

HOW IT WORKS

Video cameras have become one of the most effective tools in the plumbing industry. They eliminate guesswork and run their way right to the heart of the problem. With camera inspection, one of our highly-skilled and friendly plumbers inserts a flexible rod with a high-resolution waterproof video camera on its tip through your house’s pipes into the sewer line, or directly into the sewer line as far as the municipal sewer line on the street. The flexible rod allows the camera to travel even around corners to see the pipe in its entirety. The camera transmits the images onto a screen where the obstruction is identified.

We remove the blockage through the use of metal rods, flushing or, in serious cases, by locating the spot and digging a trench to manually remove the blockage.

HOW IT BENEFITS YOU

Proactive is better than reactive, and it may save you money in the long run. Proactive means finding the problem before it becomes a problem; reactive is fixing the problem after it’s occurred. Camera inspections detect tree root penetration, cracked or broken sections of pipe, grease or debris build-up, and other obstructions or blockages.

If you have a drainage block, we recommend using our camera inspection service to check not only the blocked drain but the other drains and lines in your house to forestall any further blockages in the future.

We also strongly recommend this service if you are experiencing repeated slow drains or repeated blockages, or have just purchased a new home. Checking your new home’s pipes and sewer line now will give you peace of mind knowing your lines are free of obstruction. It also allows us to be proactive on any problems that may incur costs (and unnecessary headaches) in the future.

A beneficial alternative use for camera inspection is to locate jewelry, keys, or any other valuable items that may have been dropped or washed down a drain.

Camera inspections are an excellent way to detect a variety of obstructions or potential impediments to the proper flow of drainage. Call our professional plumbers in Kelowna & West Kelowna to book a camera line inspection today.
